Posted in GovernmentLittle Brother

Speaking out against the government today, pretty much gets you labeled “anti-American”, people forget that descent is what this country was founded on. Thomas Jefferson further said that its our rights and duties to overthrow any government which is corrupt that it can no longer be fixed.

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. …And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right asto the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed fromtime to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

Has it got so bad that its time to overthrow the government, and setup a new regime? Probably not. However, lets create a checklist for “Thomas Jefferson’s Criteria for Revolution”:

Been at least 20 years since last revolution.

Citizens can no longer keep track of the governments actions.

Citizens warn government by holding protests.

Check, Check, and Check. Well its a good thing this isn’t 234 years ago, otherwise I feel that Americans would have taken to the streets to fight back for our freedoms. The citizens who founded this country would not have settled for the “Patriot Act”, if they were aware of its implications, they surely would be against “ACTA”, and of course the DMCA which likes to trample on their rights as well.

The United States Federal Government has failed the people, and it has now become to corrupt for repair. The time for a revolution is coming, because its our right, and our duty to take over control of our government and give the powers of state back to the people. We shall have a more parliamentary style of congress, and there shall be NO time when the president can step on our rights for “national security”, or “general welfare”. Its our rights to have and no one can take them away from us.

Thomas Jefferson would be considered a terrorist today, but he was a patriot. Revolutionaries, activists, and outspoken groups are not “terrorists”, they are Americans, who are mad that their country has been corrupt and they want to take it back. They are patriots.

Posted in GovernmentRant

I think that Barack Obama is a very inspirational figure, and that his influence on getting youth out and voting and active in politics is admirable. I feel that the youth who simply cheer for Obama because he is Obama is apathy to the worst level but in all honesty people do that on both sides of the “big line”.

I do, however, want to bring up something important – Looking out for your own, yourself, interests even with someone you trust. This is a great life lesson but a lesson here in particular. 850 BILLION dollars are going to be spent on this stimulus package, wich is all fine and dandy… I want money to be given back to me as well. However, what is this money being spent on? Me? Nope.

Nearly 100 BILLION dollars are going to cash-strapped state governments (governments that couldn’t manage their finances in the first place), and 350 BILLION dollars in “Infrastructure, Alternative Energy, and ‘Other Priorities’ “. What does this mean though? It means that your hard earned tax dollars are going to fund a 1.5 Million dollar water ride and a 4.8 MILLION dollar polar bear exhibit. These expenses are wasteful, but you guys won’t hear about it from the media, of course not.

Now there are some good things a Biofuel plant in Iowa, that sounds nice, it will give Iowa people jobs… oh wait, I have to pay $500 MILLION dollars for that? Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz wants to build a boat repair yard… oh sorry that was a Yacht repair yard. Lets get real America!

You know what else I love? Giving my money to people who don’t even live here. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that fact that illegal immigrants may file a tax return, and we will give them a check too! FREE MONEY FOR EVERYONE!!! I think Julio McCrea is my room mate and he wants his tax rebate too. As a dual citizen, I could easily skip taxes and not be caught…. but I don’t do that because I like helping out my country and making sure that it has enough money to keep functioning: What I DON’T like is giving my money to people who don’t live here… and who just drain our resources… lets take the tax returns from illegal immigrants and give that money to the hospitals that they have bankrupted in Southern California? Ha ha!

Oh by the way 350 BILLION dollars that is going to “Infrastructure, Alternative Energy, and ‘Other Priorities’ ” can fuel all of americas cars for around a year!! I wouldn’t mind having free gas for a year, can that be my incentive? How about 7MILLION free rides to harvard? $30 Billion Dollars would provide education to EVERY CHILD ON EARTH for a year. Ohh or we can just spend $54 Billion dollars and end starvation and malnutrition GLOBALLY. (Boston.com) I don’t like blowing my money on proejcts like these… but I feel we can all agree these are better than a foot ball stadium.

Its really easy spending other peoples money… why not take a pay cut congress, to fund some of these things. I understand your desire to help out the people in your state… so take some of your money, and give it to them directly. Sometimes what glitters is gold… and I am going to keep that gold hidden away under my bed because how it looks now, if those people see it they are going to rip it from my hands and give it to some dumb cause.
